Hi I’ve just ordered a new car with a reversing camera, and I thought it’ll be great, then I test drove another car. It was fine to start with but after 30 minutes driving on country roads in the rain I couldn’t see a thing, the camera was covered in dust/mud!! So, I’ve been looking at putting a separate washer bottle in the boot and operating it off the reversing light supply. If you search for universal car windshield washer pump kit you’ll find several complete units, water bottle with built in pump, tube, nozzle and switch for around £13.00 sterling ($17.00- US) ridiculously low price! (I’m in the UK) I really don’t want to modify a new car but if the manufactures don’t fit camera washers, then I will. But before I fit it, I thought, ‘I bet it’s been done before, better check on UA-cam’ and sure enough here it is. Well done, I bet a lot of folks will copy your idea. Kind regards . . . Andy
